Greetings, fellow after-school adventurers!
I'm Eva—pronounced Ava—and I’m thrilled to meet you all at SPARC soon! I’ve had the pleasure of working at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in sunny San Juan Capistrano, CA, since 2007, wearing quite a few hats along the way. From part-time Extended Day provider, After-School Clubs Coordinator, 1st and 4th Grade long-term sub, Interim Director of Extension Programs, Special Events Coordinator, to liaison for UCI’s AppJam+ program, long term Infant and Toddler teacher and Parent Night Out Coordinator—let’s just say I’ve been around the auxiliary block!
Since 2017 (with a brief hiatus in 2021), SPARC has been my go-to place for inspiration, and I can’t wait to share some golden nuggets from our Extended Day program with all of you. At St. Margaret’s, Extended Day is a hive of creativity and collaboration, where we’ve mastered the art of keeping students from Kindergarten to 8th grade engaged for 1.5 hours each day. While it’s not without its challenges (oh, the joys of juggling!), we have turned this time into an enriching, hands-on art explosion! I’m excited to introduce you to a treasure trove of fun, easy-to-do projects that work across age groups.
